FIRST ROBOTICS

Through my four years on the team, I’ve gained experience from everything from workshop machines and tools to using 3D printers and CNC machines. I have also learned to work as a team, and learned to effectively split up a task for members to work on. Other than mechanical, I have also worked with circuitry and wiring, along with programming (JAVA code) the robots functions, led the team involved with AI and Vision programming for the robot, and wrote code for custom-built controllers.

I was also elected as the electrical sub-team captain my junior year and elected as the team captain the following year. As team captain, I facilitated the robot build (mechanical, electrical, and programming teams) and helped teach members different skills, like CAD, programming, and machine shop lessons. However, I am also involved with reaching out to sponsors for funding and helping organize different events and programs run by the team for the community.

I have also demonstrated/taught STEM concepts at elementary schools, summer camps, and other community locations. I have dedicated many hours to volunteering as a judge at elementary/middle school robotics competitions.
